The typical set of first level questions we get from prospective clients about our Solar Car Park Shade Structures are:
Unfortunately there is no silver bullet answer to all of these up front, as they all have mitigating factors that need to be ascertained before they can be answered in full.
In regards to the first 2 dot points, these are heavily dependent on the overall location, orientation, size and layout of the site and the associated Solar System we can design, along with current power rates the client is paying, distance from and condition of current main switchboard and the amount of civil works (like trenching and/or, directional boring) that is required.
All of these extra bits of information determine the overall costs associated with the project and the overall returns. To give you some general information:
Nb: Above figures are based on either projects completed or proposals made on existing sites – They are averages only and may or may not represent the returns your asset may show, They are indicative only. For actual results on your asset, a full analysis would need to be run, that includes site specific information such as energy rates, location, orientation and site design.
PV Structures have teamed up with the industries best renewable investment funder's, that allows us to introduce our clietns to the world of Power Purchasing Agreements - Or PPA's for short.
These investment companies have access to a wide array of funding models that can essentially cut your CAPEX cost dramatically and in some cases completely, allowing you to fund your asset purchase via the power you can generate.
How do PPA's work?
Sometimes a PPA might require you to pay a portion of the costs, sometimes there will be little to no cash flow required. This is heavily dependent on your current rates, the size of the system installed and the over all amount of power generated under the agreement
Like most other forms of projects or works performed, generally the project is finance and paid for out of the clients CAPEX budgets. This allows you minimal to no finance fees, you own it straight away, can write off the available tax benefits as per normal and make the most benefit of the solar gains.
This is generally paid for in milestone payments through out the process that generally align with completions and our procurement flag points (eg Engineering, footings, Structural install, Solar panels delivered to site, solar completion etc)
This is by far the most used method of project funding, as it offers the best bang for buck and complete asset ownership.
We Utilise not only our in-house skills and knowledge but also an extensive national list of suppliers and contractors. It is our preference to feed and support the local
