PV Structures were contracted early on in the design process by ADCO Constructions to assist with the Design and Construction of 2 x new floors of public car park, attaching to existing infrastructure, which was to also include Solar Car Park Shade Structures on the top level – PV Structures were tasked to design, engineer, fabricate and install a 6-array Solar Car Park area on top of a Multi Level Car Park, to house 880 tier 1 Risen 450W panels, to make up a system of 396kW.
Working on post tension slabs is a difficult process, this was amplified by having to match a pre-existing car park structure underneath, during COVID shut downs and through a world wide shortage in steel and rapidly rising costs. Given the very tight yet changing parameters, both the team at ADCO and the PV Structures team performed above expectations to complete the project.
Using a modified version of our premium frame profile, designed and engineered specifically for this project, PV Structures were able to design a sleek and efficient looking layout, that met all of our clients wants and needs, which we were able to install on time, on budget and more importantly to our normal high standards and the gratitude of all involved.
