Once again, PV Structures were contracted by our great clients at Solar Car Parks to again work closely with their clients at Smart Commercial Solar – PV Structures were tasked to design, engineer, fabricate and install a 4-array Solar Car Park area on top of a Multi Level Car Park, at the new parking area for the Liverpool Hostpital, to house 1,028 tier 1 Trina 450W panels, to make up a system of 462.6kW.
Working on post tension slabs is a difficult process, especially when designing double columned structures that need to line up perfectly, to the mm, to fit, whilst at the same time designing/engineering the hold down bolt and base plate patterns perfectly to miss everything structurally crucial within the concrete. Obvious difficulties also come when working within a confined area, 7-stories off the ground, in horrible weather. But as per usual, all sides pulled together and developed a plan and a final design that worked specifically for this site.
Using a modified version of our premium frame profile, designed and engineered specifically for this project, PV Structures were able to design a sleek and efficient looking layout, that met all of our clients wants and needs, which we were able to install on time, on budget and more importantly to our normal high standards and the gratitude of all involved.
When asked how the on site team performed, The ADCO (head Contractors) Site Management said the team were outstanding and he wished he could keep them around to help him finish other areas of the project. Not a bad result at all..
