Teaming up with the team at Solar Car Park and the end client, PV Structures was asked to design and construct a Solar Car Park Shade Structure System, across various areas over a large sprawling head office site, in Brisbane’s north eastern suburbs.
Taking over 4years to come to fruition, working closely with all of our partners involved, we were able to finally design, engineer, fabricate and install a 708kW Solar Car Park Structures shading system, over 3 different areas of the site, using 4 differently designed and engineered structure.
Working closely with the end client, in trying to keep the site as open as possible for the workers to continue parking there, we decided to complete a bulk of the works at night, as the night shift was smaller. Combining this strategy with only fencing off small bite size areas at a time, allowed us to control our working environment, whilst also hindering the end client as least as possible.

We are an operational site and so shutting down our site was not an option for the install of the system. It was great to work through together a phasing that worked for both the install and our operations. This was a moving boundary every few days.
